Keepthebeat Mile 2020 – COVID-19 Event PostponedWe and the rest of the team at the Bosworth Half Marathon have made the difficult decision to cancel the Keepthebeat Mile scheduled to take place on Sunday May 3rd 2020. Following increased and overwhelming concerns about the COVID-19 virus, we felt this was the best way to proceed during such an unprecedented global situation. We are very disappointed that we are unable to hold this event to help raise much needed money for children with poorly hearts but we know it’s the right decision based on the information we have today. We will be providing automatic full refunds in due course to anyone that has already entered and we’d like to thank everyone who has shown interest in taking part so far this year! There is a possibility we might hold the event at a later date in the Autumn, but as this is an ongoing situation we will let you know soon if we decide to re-arrange or postpone for next year. In-the meantime, if you are not isolated and taking regular walks, please do share any photos of you completing #myKTBmile. You can post them to social media and tag us on Facebook and Instagram #keepthebeat #chd Most of all, we hope you all stay safe! |
Open to all ages – you can run, walk or even skip around this 1 mile route held entirely within the safety of Bosworth Water Trust. The race will start just after the Half Marathon at 10.15am and is a great way to get everyone benefiting from being active and outdoors!
The event is:
- Held entirely within the race venue – Market Bosworth Water Trust
- Free
- car-parking
- All finishers to receive a medal, Fyffes banana and goody bag
- Special awards for 1st 3 boys and girls
- PRIZE FOR BEST FANCY DRESS
- Online or postal entries accepted
- Fun guaranteed!
- Under 18's must be entered by an adult legally responsible for them or an adult selected by the adult legally responsible for them.
Under 6's must run in the event with an adult legally responsible for them or an adult selected by the adult legally responsible for them.
Prams/wheelchairs are allowed (a lot of the course is grass, so please bear that in mind!) but please start at the back of the field – adults running with children can either enter and therefore help KTB or just run alongside children (but please do not cross finish line as this will confuse results – pram/wheelchair pushers excepted!).
Please read full T&C's for the Mile before entering.
